The Soul Sanctuary
Where the adventure back home begins
A wooden house in the forest of Caldes d'Estrac. The sea in front, the mountains behind.
There are places that ask nothing of us except that we arrive. Places where the body begins to soften before a single word is spoken. Where beauty is not decoration, but a quiet companion. Where silence has a presence, and nature becomes part of the conversation.
The Soul Sanctuary is one of those places.
Resting between the mountains and the Mediterranean, every tree, every stone, every room and every pathway invites a different rhythm. A rhythm in which we begin to hear ourselves again.
This place is not simply the setting. It is part of the offering.
Many arrive believing they have come to meet me. They soon discover they are also being received by the land, the sea, the light, the trees, the birds, the stillness, and the quiet intelligence that seems to live here.
Something begins to soften here. Not because anyone makes it happen, but because this place quietly reminds us of the rhythm we have always belonged to.
Again and again, I witness how this place gently invites people to put down what they have been carrying, to breathe more deeply, and to remember something they thought had been lost.
I have never felt that the Soul Sanctuary belongs to me. If anything, I feel I belong to it.
My role is simply to care for it, to listen to it, and to steward it, so that others may also be received by its quiet presence.
The Soul Sanctuary is not somewhere to escape life. It is a place to return more deeply to it.

A small village of thermal waters on the Maresme coast
Caldes d'Estrac — known locally as Caldetes — sits about forty minutes north of Barcelona by train, between the Serralada Litoral and the sea. It has been a place of healing waters since Roman times; the hot springs still run beneath the village.
It is a place of narrow streets, a long beach, fishing boats, and steep paths that climb into the forest. Trains from Barcelona Sants and El Clot arrive directly at the village; Barcelona airport is around an hour away.
Many who come arrive a day early and simply walk — the sea in the morning, the hills in the afternoon. It is part of the work.
