About
Life was always first. Everything else has been translation.
For more than four decades, I have followed one enduring inquiry: what allows life to move freely through a human being, and what interrupts that movement?
My path began through dance and the body, and has moved through theatre, Tibetan Buddhism, psychotherapy, sexuality, relationship, trauma, nervous-system protection and the living intelligence of contact. I lived in India for nine years, trained as a psychosynthesis therapist, and worked in private practice in England for fifteen years. I later co-founded Social Alchemy and created Authentic Ecstasy, my body of work with women, men, couples and facilitators.
These are not separate disciplines in my work. They are different doorways into the same exploration: how inherited histories and protective identities shape the way we inhabit our bodies, meet one another and participate in life.
Through movement, embodied inquiry, relationship and direct experience, I create spaces where what has been protected, silenced or excluded can become visible without being judged or repaired too quickly. My work is not about becoming someone better. It is an invitation to recognise what interrupts contact and to become increasingly available to what is already alive.
I am known for my ability to name what is difficult to articulate, to remain present with what others may reject, and to bring consciousness into the places where spirituality, sexuality, instinct, vulnerability and ordinary human life meet.
My orientation is not towards transcendence, but incarnation: consciousness arriving fully into the body, relationship, choice, creativity and matter.
Life was always first.
Everything else has been translation.
